Radial extrusion cement pipe making machines are equipment for manufacturing
cement pipes. With the rapid development of engineering construction across the
country, today we will introduce the common joint types of radial extrusion
cement pipes:
1. Plain-end pipes
This is a traditional joint type, easy to manufacture, with high production
efficiency and low cost. The joint seal uses a steel mesh concrete mortar band.
However, its sealing performance and seismic resistance are poor. Once the
foundation shifts, the joint will separate, and sewage will soak the soil,
causing serious pollution. This type of cement pipe joint is almost obsolete
now.
2. Socket-and-spigot type
It adopts a rubber ring for water sealing, with a joint insertion depth of
80-100mm. This type of cement pipe has good seismic resistance, and the pipe
base uses a sand-gravel or concrete foundation, facilitating installation.
However, large-diameter cement pipes may develop circumferential cracks, so this
joint type is not suitable for large-diameter pipes.
3. Flexible spigot-and-socket type
It is suitable for cement pipes with a diameter ≥ d1200. It not only has the
advantages of the socket-and-spigot type but also is well-suited for
large-diameter pipes. The flexible spigot-and-socket pipe has good contact with
the foundation, bears loads evenly when subjected to force, and ensures safety.
It can prevent cement pipe leakage and is also suitable for pipe jacking
projects.
