Thickness of cold-rolled and hot-rolled plates
Cold rolled sheet thickness: The common thickness range is 0.4mm to 6.0mm,
including 0.4mm, 0.5mm, 0.6mm, 0.7mm, 0.8mm, 0.9mm, 1.0mm, 1.2mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm,
2.5mm, 3.0mm, 4.0mm, 5.0mm, 6.0mm, etc
Hot rolled plate thickness: The common thickness range is 3.0mm to 100mm,
suitable for applications that require higher strength.
Thickness Standards and Applications
National standards: According to GB/T 4237-2015 and GB/T 3280-2015 standards,
the thickness range of 304 stainless steel plate varies from 0.3mm to 100mm.
Specifically, the thickness range of cold-rolled plates is 0.3mm to 4.0mm, while
the thickness range of hot-rolled plates is 3.0mm to 100mm.
Application areas: 304 stainless steel plates of different thicknesses are
suitable for different application areas. For example, thinner boards
(0.4mm-3.0mm) are commonly used for decoration, furniture, and kitchen utensils,
while thicker boards are used for construction, chemical equipment, and medical
devices.
