Various patterns are printed on a special kind of paper with a special heat transfer ink, and then the pattern is transferred to the product by temperature and pressure. This special paper in the heat transfer process is called heat transfer paper. Transfer printing refers to the printing process of transferring dye to fabric through transfer paper. It is based on the sublimation characteristics of some disperse dyes, select a disperse dye sublimed at 150~230°C, mix it with the slurry to make a "color ink", and then according to different design pattern requirements, the "color ink" is printed on the transfer paper (this is a special paper, so called transfer paper), and then the transfer paper printed with a pattern is in close contact with the fabric. Under the control of a certain temperature, pressure and time, it enters the interior of the fabric through diffusion, so as to achieve the purpose of coloring.
The downside of heat transfer paper warping?
heat transfer paper is a coated paper. When the expansion rate of the coating layer and the bottom paper is inconsistent under dry and high temperature, it will cause single-side warping. When the transfer paper warping, it will cause the following inconvenience:
1. The printer is not easy to feed paper. (dry warping at room temperature)
2. When large quantities of printed sheets are stacked, the finishing is inconvenient due to warping. (dry warping at room temperature)
3. Before thermal transfer, due to the warping of the transfer paper, the alignment with the fabric is not allowed, resulting in transfer failure. (dry warping at room temperature)
4. Under the hot transfer plate, the warp roll of the transfer paper will make the transfer misposition and cause the transfer failure. (high temperature warping)
The products produced by various heat transfer paper factories at home and abroad have different degrees of warping. The warping Angle of excellent quality transfer paper is small and the warping is slow, which can meet the flatness and time needs of the printing transfer production process, and it is easier to operate.
To overcome warping is a problem that heat transfer paper manufacturers work together to overcome, the use of double-sided coating method can effectively improve warping, but this makes the production cost increase, and most of the domestic transfer paper production equipment often do not have such conditions, only from the coating formula and production process to improve.
